  About Us

Carver Communications was formed in Los Angeles in 1991, by    Mike    Carver. Mike obtained his technical skill and dedication    during years of    experience with a 50 year old Electrical and Fire    System Contractor in    L.A. that became an "interconnect" after    Bell system divestiture and phone    industry deregulation. He was    later an asset at the largest interconnect in    Hawaii. Over time,    he has created the largest and most successful Comdial    and    Key Voice dealership in Los Angeles County, and expanded to    San    Diego and Orange Counties. Carver Communications    provides Telephone    and Voice Mail systems and all related    cabling, both fiber and copper and    currently maintains a    multitude of customer owned and leased    communication    systems and data networks in California.

To broaden Carver Communications’ ability to implement a wide    variety of    corporate solutions, he has acquired a skilled,    cooperative, responsible    and purposeful staff. It includes    principals such as a technician
sales-engineer, data evaluator and Call Center system designer    who was    an owner of the former largest Comdial Platinum (and    Lucent Definity)    dealership in Los Angeles. Another    quintessential technical wizard is a    former top technical trainer    of all Comdial Corp. personnel and Dealer    certification. He was    a luminary at Comdial (Corporate) Technical    Assistance in    Charlottesville, Virginia for years. Other illustrious experts    are    also honing their skills in the field at Carver Communications,    implementing comprehensive and intricate projects under adroit    tutelage.    Carver Communications' technicians have    cumulatively participated in    installation, consulting, operations,    project management and ownership of    other telecom firms.    These authorized dealerships included brands such as    Active    Voice, Altigen, Atlas, Callware, Cisco, Cortelco, Fujitsu, Hitachi,    Intertel, Lucent (now Avaya), Microsoft, Mitel, Nitsuko, Nortel,    Novell,    Panasonic, 3 Com, TIE, Toshiba, Valcom, Versatility,    Viking and VSR.    This amounts to a vast repository of uniquely    valuable experience and    certification in virtually every facet of    the Telecommunications Industry, in    more than 60 different    Telephone and Voice Mail Systems and associated    peripherals. That is, Carver personnel have installed and/or    programmed    them all. They are acquainted with various    idiosyncrasies, limitations,    unique features, capacities,    designs, quality, redundancy, capabilities and    relative
cost-effectiveness for different purposes. Carver technicians    additionally skim or scan dozens of telecom and network trade    publications and internet sites to make sure they are always    aware of new    applications, hardware and industry trends. With    access to a wide range of    hardware and software, they decide    to offer systems on the basis of a    complex algorithm and matrix    of feature trade-offs. The most important    factor is usually    budgetary. How many desirable features are attainable at a    fixed or "reasonable" price? Carver technicians could write a    book about    how they weigh the hundreds of different    components and aspects, if    attention span permits. It is no    accident that they have chosen American    designed and built    Comdial and (Comdial owned) Key Voice systems as    their    premiere value product lines.

Carver Communications and its technicians have thousands of    installations    to their credit, and have provided systems
for many of Southern California's most prominent Call (now    “Contact”)    Centers, business, entertainment, and
law firms, as well as factories, foundations, and government    offices.    Technical proficiency, in order to implement productivity    enhancing    applications, on time, is the number one goal of all    staff. In pursuit of this,    many competent vendors,
sub-contractors, consultants and programmers    have been    identified, utilized and retained. This knowledge of genuine    specialists and experts is a priceless asset in designing and    assembling    complex and diverse project elements.

Carver Communications also provides VoIP (Voice over Internet    Protocol) and ISDN-PRI system networking solutions and    COMPUTER    TELEPHONY. These are advanced productivity    augmentations made    possible by the confluence and linking of    voice and data systems and    increasingly, with bandwidth and    multiplexing enhancements, video and the    Internet. Computer    Telephony is often characterized by "screen pops"    based on    Caller ID triggered database file retrieval. It ranges from precise    integration of an array of Telephone and Voicemail Systems with    Computer Local and Wide Area Networks, to totally Server    based    systems. It is relatively new outside of Call or “Contact”    Centers, which    have paved the way for its refinement at    enormous development cost. Its    rapidly improving "Return-On-    Investment" provides a significant    competitive advantage in    many applications. It is practical for many small    and midsize    firms that have (or desire) high volume or database driven    phone or web sales, help-desk, prospecting, surveys, unified    messaging or    require personalized VIP attention or multiple    tiers of rules-based    automated call routing. Carver    Communications is a sincere, fully qualified,    knowledgeable,    licensed California Contractor with a high responsibility    level,   competitive rates and 24-hour emergency service. For the respite    of    those not steeped in industry jargon, and unprepared for    extensive    consideration of arcane detail at this time, it would be    superfluous to    extend these remarks. It is hoped that this    monograph illustrates Carver    Communications' aspirations and    dedication to customer-defined goals. In    your association with    us, we are certain you will become confident that we    will utilize    the full extent of our cultivated evaluation, design, installation and    programming skills on your behalf. Because we will.

We remain at your service. Call 800-CARVER-4 (800-227-8374)    or email us at sales@carvercomm.com for more information or    amplification.
